Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is MotoAdventure Nordic Ab, Business ID (FO-nummer / Y-tunnus) 3658740-5, Helsinki, Finland. Contact: info@motoadventure.fi.
What data we collect
When you send a ride enquiry through the form on this website, we collect your name, email address, preferred month, motorcycle model, trip length, country of residence, optional add-ons, the campaign source you came from (UTM parameters in the page link) and anything you write in the message field. We also receive technical data your browser sends when you visit the site (such as IP address and browser type) and, if you accept them, data from cookies.
Please do not include passport details, payment card details or other sensitive information in your enquiry.
Why we use your data and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a personal offer. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To run, secure and improve the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal obligations such as accounting and, if you rent from us, insurance and rental-agreement requirements (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
- To send you route tips and news about Summer 2027 by email, only if you tick the box in the enquiry form. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to info@motoadventure.fi. You can send an enquiry without ticking the box.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. We will not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who receives your data
Your data is handled by MotoAdventure Nordic Ab and by service providers that help us run the website and email, such as our web hosting and email provider Domainhotelli.fi. They process data only on our behalf. We use HubSpot (customer register and email service) to store enquiries and send emails. Your data is stored in HubSpot’s EU data centre. HubSpot is provided by HubSpot, Inc. (USA); where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, this is based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which HubSpot is certified, and on Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. If you go on to rent a motorcycle, we may also share the necessary details with our insurer and, where required, authorities. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting rental, and delete or anonymise it 12 months after your last contact if no rental follows. Data connected to a rental is kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy of the data you gave us. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use your rights, email info@motoadventure.fi.
You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority: the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto) in Finland, tietosuoja.fi.
Motorcycle tracking
Our motorcycles are fitted with a GPS tracking device. During the rental period we process the location of the motorcycle for theft protection and recovery, and to locate the motorcycle in case of misuse, a breach of the rental terms, an accident or an emergency. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our property and, where needed, performing the rental contract. We do not use location data to monitor your riding style or for marketing.
Location data is available only to MotoAdventure Nordic and our tracking service provider, which processes it on our behalf. We keep it for 90 days after the rental ends, unless we need it for a theft, damage or legal claim.
Cookies
This website uses a cookie consent banner. Necessary cookies are always on. They include a cookie that stores your consent choice for 365 days. Other cookies, for example from embedded third-party content such as YouTube videos, are set only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button at the bottom left of the page.
Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page.
Analytics cookies and HubSpot
If you accept analytics cookies, we load the HubSpot tracking code. It shows us how visitors find and use this website (for example which pages are viewed and which campaign link brought you here) and links your enquiry to that source. HubSpot acts as our service provider and may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards. If you reject analytics cookies, the tracking code is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on this site.
